Looking ahead to next week
As the sun sets on this Sabbath and a new week begins, we turn our hearts toward next week’s lesson — the final study of this quarter. Lesson 13 is titled “Into Eternity” (June 20–26), and we’ll explore it together when we gather next Sabbath, June 27. What a fitting way to finish a quarter about growing close to God: looking ahead to being with Him forever.
“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.” — 1 John 3:2 (NKJV)
What this lesson is about
“Into Eternity” lifts our eyes to the hope at the centre of our faith: Jesus is coming again, and one day we will see Him face to face. We’ll be reminded to live today with our eyes fixed on Him, to picture the home He is preparing, and to hear His gentle invitation — “Come” — and to pass it on to others.
Why it’s worth starting early
When we begin the lesson early in the week, hope has time to grow. Reading a little each day keeps our eyes “ever toward the LORD” in the middle of ordinary life, so we come to Sabbath full rather than rushed.
A simple day-by-day plan (Sunday–Friday)
Sunday — Living Today (Psalm 80). Staying close to God in serious times.
Monday — Finally, Face-to-Face (1 Thessalonians 4:17). The promise of seeing Jesus.
Tuesday — The Bride (Revelation 21:9–27). A glimpse of the home being prepared for us.
Wednesday — Follow the Lamb (Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 7:17; 21:4). No more tears, no more death.
Thursday — “Come!” (Matthew 11:28–30; John 6:44). The open invitation of Jesus.
Friday — Further Thought. Drawing the quarter together as we prepare for Sabbath.
This week’s challenge
As this quarter closes, take a few quiet minutes to notice how your walk with God has grown over the past thirteen weeks. Then think of one person who needs the hope of heaven, and ask God for a chance to share it. We can only give away a hope we ourselves hold.
Looking forward to Sabbath
We can’t wait to close the quarter together next Sabbath, June 27, with “Into Eternity.” And a new quarter of study begins soon after — a fresh chapter to grow in even deeper. Come and be part of it.
