This week in Sabbath School

Today in our Sabbath School class we came to the close of Lesson 12 in this quarter’s study, “Growing in a Relationship With God.” The lesson was titled “Share Him” (Lesson 12, June 13–19). “The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to hear as the learned.” — Isaiah 50:4 (NKJV)

What the lesson explored

This week was about something beautifully simple: letting our relationship with God overflow to the people around us. Sharing Jesus isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about being an eyewitness of what God is doing in our lives, and telling others.

The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20). Jesus sends every one of us — “go and make disciples” — and promises to be with us always.
“They had been with Jesus” (Acts 4:13). The early believers weren’t trained speakers; their power came from time spent with Jesus.
With gentleness, never force (1 Peter 3:15). We share with love and respect — Jesus invites, He never coerces.
Hope for the wandering (Hosea 7; Jeremiah 31). For loved ones who have drifted, God has not given up — His heart still yearns for them.
Bring them back (Zechariah 10). God delights to gather His people home again.

The heart of it

Witnessing flows from friendship with God. As Ellen White wrote, “the strongest argument in favor of the gospel is a loving and lovable Christian.” When we have been with Jesus, we can’t help but share Him — and a kind, consistent life often speaks louder than any words.

Questions to sit with this week

When I think about “sharing Jesus,” what holds me back — and what does this week’s lesson say to that fear?
Whose life has pointed me toward God simply by the way they live? How could I be that person for someone else?
Is there a loved one who has wandered, whom I can keep lifting to God in hope rather than worry?

Living it out

Keep praying, by name, for the one person you’ve been thinking of. This week, look for one natural, unhurried moment to show kindness or to share something God has done for you. And if it feels right, simply invite them to join you at church — sometimes belonging comes before believing.

A closing word

You don’t need to be eloquent or have it all figured out. You just need to have been with Jesus, and to let His love spill over. God can do far more with a willing, loving heart than we can imagine.
